Just saw Up for the first time. One of the most charming, warm, funny movies I’ve seen in a long time. Despite being completely whimsical, it was incredibly mature, too. Swaying from issues of the elderly; depicting the loss and loneliness of old age, material attachement, and mourning, to issues of childhood; missing parents, coping with harsh realities, and the importance of idealism.

Getting My License Suspended

My biggest regret ever is getting my license suspended. Three speeding tickets over the course of a year and the state suspended it. This is not going to look good on my record. Even worse, my parents took my car away. I’m a good kid that normally doesn’t get into trouble and am pissed I left something careless like this happen.

Northern Howl
Last week I saw a show at the Grand Little Theater. In addition to solo acts from Ian Jacoby from Laarks, and two of the members from the daredevil christopher wright (who were fantastic), a band from the cities called Northern Howl played.
